“I’m an engineer, entrepreneur, and fact-based problem solver, not a politician. I’m running for Congress to make things work better in Washington so we can develop a sustainable future for Riverside County where people feel safe, healthy, and have opportunities to succeed in fulfilling jobs.”

MEET SHRINA KURANI
Shrina Kurani is an engineer, entrepreneur, and fact-based problem solver, not a politician. She has focused her career on creating sustainable solutions that reduce waste and build career opportunities.
Born and raised in Riverside, Shrina is a first-generation American whose parents came to the United States from India seeking opportunity. She learned the values of hard work, hustle, and resourcefulness from her parents while they worked seven days a week to grow their pool supply business from one location to 14 stores throughout the Inland Empire. At age 16, Shrina graduated from La Sierra High School as the valedictorian before working her way through UC Riverside for her degree in mechanical engineering and earning a graduate degree in sustainability in Sweden.
Shrina has worked to start companies aimed at reducing waste and creating sustainable solutions for food and water, and she has served as an advisor to startup businesses that are developing ways to make healthcare and education more affordable, accessible, equitable, and effective. Most recently, Shrina has been building a company to increase opportunities by focusing on addressing disparities in the funding of startup businesses founded by women and people of color.
Now, Shrina is running for Congress to bring her approach to making things work better to Washington to put people first, create a sustainable future, and build an Inland Empire where people feel safe, healthy, and have opportunities to succeed in fulfilling jobs.
